2023 Site Tours Included:

Shell Quest Site Tour

The 2-hour tour of the Quest CCS capture facility included an overview of Quest processes, technology, subsurface geology, and monitoring plans. This was an opportunity to engage with specialists supporting Quest, and to learn how the facility was built under budget, ahead of schedule, and has performed better than premised. Following the presentation, guests had a perimeter walking tour of the Quest capture facility.

Alberta Carbon Trunk Line: Hosted by Wolf Midstream

 

Tour included driven site tour of Redwater Carbon Recovery Facility (RCRF) that processes and compresses CO2 supplied from Nutrien Redwater Fertilizer and the Sturgeon Compressor Station (SCS) that compresses CO2 from Northwest Refinery to pipeline pressure for transport on the Alberta Carbon Trunk Line (ACTL).
