Richard Salter

Richard is a Reservoir Geologist with 28 years of industry experience who specializes in project management of rapid turnaround multi-disciplinary integration projects. He has also worked in seismic reservoir characterization studies and integration of geophysical and geological data with engineering data for many years. He is currently a CCS Advisor and Technical Assurance Team Leader for Schlumberger New Energy (SNE) looking after the technical team engagements in projects pertaining to Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS). Primary focus for the team includes site screening, site characterization and MMV planning for potential CCS projects.

Previously as a Director in Schlumberger’s Global Unconventional team from 2012-2018 he developed a Rapid Resource Assessment (RRA) workflow for international emerging unconventional plays with numerous successful projects delivered in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, China and South America.  He also has a strong track record in rapid turnaround due diligence assessments, working across multiple segments in Schlumberger, to advise the company on participation in production optimization risk reward opportunities. Richard is located in the San Felipe office, Houston, USA.
