Garret Sliva is a Senior Mechanical Engineer with the Supply Planning Department in SaskPower, focusing on the development of new thermal generation projects and the future of Carbon Capture and Sequestration within SaskPower.
With over 12 years of experience with thermal power generation, carbon capture, and industrial facilities gained through roles in the consulting sector prior to joining SaskPower, Garret is now focused on the development of new studies to evaluate the future of CCUS in Saskatchewan for SaskPower. Garret has developed his in-depth knowledge of CCUS through completing detailed engineering studies around new and emerging carbon capture technologies, and detailed design work on SaskPower’s own Boundary Dam Unit 3 CCS facility.
