Conference Speakers

Jochem Kamstra is Director of Sustainability at Siemens Energy, where he is responsible to drive sustainability across the global organization. Specific topics within his responsibility are scope 1 and 2 reductions (own operations), the implementation of internal carbon pricing, the creation of a global ESG data management solution, and to support partnership development in North America.

Prior to his role in sustainability, Jochem was the Canadian Director of Process Solution at Siemens Energy, bringing over 20 years of experience working in the Energy sector in Europe, the United States, and Canada.

Jochem is also a Fellow with the Energy Futures Lab, which is a non-for-profit social innovation Think Tank focused on a just Energy Transition to Net Zero for Alberta. Jochem currently leads a CCUS research project within the EFL.

Jochem has a deep belief that our Energy Industry has a leading role to play in transforming society and its energy consumption. To be part of this solution, and to bring different stakeholders together, is what drives Jochem.

Jochem holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Germany and an executive MBA from Royal Roads University in British Columbia.
