Conference Speakers

Curtis Cymbaluk is a Senior Staff Manager for Carbon Removal and Utilization at Cenovus Energy.  Curtis has over 25 years of experience working in Oil and Gas in Western Canada.  Prior to joining Cenovus, Curtis worked for Renaissance Energy, Marathon Oil Canada, and Husky Energy, primarily in production or operations engineering roles.  For the last 15 years, Curtis has focused his skills and expertise on Enhanced Oil Recovery projects, which included management of several CO₂ EOR pilot projects in Canada.  Since joining Cenovus, Curtis is managing a team of Process Engineers focusing on providing commercially ready technology options for point source and direct air capture of CO₂, to support Cenovus’ targets of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Curtis graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
