NWR Sturgeon Refinery Site Tour

It all started with adding value to Alberta’s resources and a commitment to manage carbon dioxide differently in the process. From there, the idea of the NWR Sturgeon Refinery was born.

At the Sturgeon Refinery, Alberta’s bitumen is processed into diesel and other valuable products to help meet the demand for energy. As Canada’s newest refinery and the first designed and built with carbon capture technology, the facility is connected to one of the world’s largest carbon capture and storage systems. Over 350 full-time employees and 150 additional contractor personnel excel in a dynamic and evolving sector to produce transportation fuels from Alberta’s natural resources.

Join us for a thought-provoking discussion and site tour for a behind the scenes look at the refinery’s evolution since construction began in 2013. Click here to learn more.
