Corwyn Bruce is Director of Project Engineering at Heidelberg Materials in Edmonton, Alberta, leading the Edmonton CCS project—an industry-first initiative to produce net-zero carbon cement without offsets.

With over 15 years of hands-on experience in carbon capture, Corwyn has been integral to the project since its inception. Previously, he served as Vice-President at the International CCS Knowledge Centre, advising global proponents through technical studies and strategic guidance.

He played a key role in delivering the world’s first commercial post-combustion carbon capture system at SaskPower’s Boundary Dam 3, where he led engineering and capital upgrades. His expertise is grounded in a decade and a half in the thermal power utility sector, specializing in capital projects and asset life extension.
