Originally from Grand Falls, Newfoundland, Bryan holds dual bachelor’s degrees: one in Industrial Engineering from Dalhousie University and another in Mathematics from Acadia University. He began his career with Imperial Oil in 2004, joining the Lubricants and Specialties department as a Marketing Coordinator in Toronto.
In 2005, Bryan relocated to Calgary to work as a Field Lubrication Engineer before moving to Sarnia in 2007. Over the next several years, he advanced through multiple leadership roles within the refining complex, including Blending and Bulk Shipping Supervisor, and later Operations Manager for the Lube Oil Blend Plant. In April 2013, he was appointed Manager of the Strathcona Lube Oil Blend Plant in Edmonton.
Bryan returned to Calgary in 2015, where he has since taken on progressive commercial roles in Imperial’s Product Solutions business across Canada and North America. In 2022, he became Low Carbon Business Development Manager, responsible for compiling and prioritizing Imperial’s portfolio of low-carbon projects. With the expansion of the Low Carbon organization in August 2023, Bryan was appointed to his current role, leading Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects across Canada.
Outside of work, Bryan enjoys time with his wife (the love of his life!) and three kids — ideally out hiking and exploring, but just as often shuttling between activities and training their new rescue puppy, Lily.
