Parnian Haghighat is a technology development engineer with over 10 years of experience in Alberta’s oil industry and currently leads carbon capture technology initiatives at Suncor Energy. Throughout her career, Parnian have led multidisciplinary technology development programs from proof-of-concept to field-scale demonstrations. Prior to her current role, she oversaw the design, operation, and surveillance of several hybrid thermal-solvent bitumen recovery pilots in the oil sands, advancing technologies toward commercial deployment. She holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran.
