Christoph Weingartner is the Technology Leader for the Chilled Ammonia Process (CAP) at Baker Hughes, within the Climate Technology Solutions Engineering & Technology Department.
He oversees engineering execution for CAP carbon capture projects, supports sales and proposal efforts, and leads ongoing technology development and optimization. Since 2009, Christoph has held key roles at Alstom Power, GE Power, and Baker Hughes, advancing absorption-based post-combustion carbon capture technologies.
His expertise includes amine and ammonia solvent systems, as well as the carbonate looping process. Prior to his work in CCUS, Christoph spent 18 years in engineering and construction contracting for refining and petrochemical projects, with a focus on olefins technologies. He holds a Diplom-Ingenieur in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany.
