James brings two decades of international leadership in clean energy and decarbonization across power, pipelines and infrastructure industries, across Canada, the US and Mexico. He is the founder and principal consultant of Launch Energy Solutions, an independent consultancy advising the energy industry on CCS development since 2020, and has worked on CCS projects since 2007. James recently led technical teams on developing CCS at Capital Power's Genesee Repower facility, and currently advises executive teams across the clean energy development landscape on low-carbon project development. James is passionate about the energy transition, leading teams and mentoring a new generation of clean energy development professionals.
James holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Alberta
