Dr. Maryam MKhani has over 25 years of research, concept-, technology- and business development expertise in the energy and energy-intensive industry, with start-ups, academia, energy- as well as professional service companies. She has diverse carbon capture experience including Direct Air Capture technology development, technology scouting, evaluation and implementation for carbon capture from point sources across multiple industrial sectors both for commercial and emerging, leading-edge technologies. In her current role as a CCUS Director at Worley, Maryam is working on technical and commercial aspects of CCUS portfolio to integrate innovative solutions across the value chain. She has been selected as 1 of 100 women for the Women in Energy Transformation (WiET) series in Canada. She is also holding an Adjunct Assistant Professor appointment at Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary, where she contributes to teaching graduate courses such as “CO2 Capture, Utilization and Storage”.
