Nick Campbell

Nick arrived at National Thermovoltaics with extensive experience in managing diverse energy projects. He is continuously driven to recognize and advance unique opportunities in the renewable energy market. His passion for green energy technology, combined with strong leadership and project management skills, have led him to become a valuable resource for emerging projects. Nick has successfully managed multi-million dollar electrical, instrumentation, and control installations throughout his career.

Nick’s interest in energy systems started at a young age when he began working as an electrician. He quickly graduated to more complex industrial electric installations, eventually taking opportunities to work with photovoltaic technology and solar hot air heater technology. He has worked in various sectors, including oil and gas and commercial applications. As the operations manager of National Thermovoltaics, Nick continues to lead projects in renewable energy, inversion, and design optimization, as well as troubleshooting and data analysis.

Key Successes in Nick’s career include multiple 500 kW Photovoltaic installations for the Metis nation of Alberta. These systems were grid tied and allow the nation to feed the grid with strong, green energy. Lead PM for multiple remote PV installations for Shell. Systems were designed and built by Nick to allow PV cells to power remote well sites with the aid of a battery backup. All remote well sites were on the Zedi communication platform. Managed multiple installations for Enbridge, Devon, Interpipeline and CNRL. Nick also has a keen interest in industrial control systems and technology. He was a major part of the Schneider EcoStruxure implementation and has a track record working with Microsoft BI and IoT suites.

Nick is a former professional MMA athlete and football player who now enjoys keeping fit in the gym.  He has enjoyed snowboarding and baseball since he was a child and spends his free time coaching his daughter’s softball team, umping for little league baseball and softball, and restoring classic cars. Nick also enjoys following the NFL, Formula 1, NHL and MLB.
