Conference Speakers

Peter Cahill joined Global Affairs Canada in 2002. An economist by background, he has worked on multilateral issues for close to 10 years and on international security issues for more than 15 years. He has worked in Afghanistan, Austria, Nigeria and the UAE, and has been responsible for combating international crime and money laundering, preventing nuclear proliferation and implementing sanctions. Currently Peter works as a Trade Commissioner based in Edmonton, Alberta, where he helps companies to increase their exports of equipment, services and technologies in the energy and clean technology sectors.
